Supersymmetric Randall-Sundrum Scenario
Richard Altendorfer, Jonathan Bagger, Dennis Nemeschansky
TL;DR
The paper presents a complete supersymmetric extension of the two-brane Randall-Sundrum model by formulating a five-dimensional AdS supergravity bulk coupled to branes, identifying the unbroken four-dimensional $N=1$ supersymmetry via Killing spinors, and deriving the low-energy effective theory. A consistent bulk-plus-brane action is constructed, with a brane term chosen to cancel bulk SUSY variations and enforce the correct jump conditions at the orbifold fixed points. The resulting four-dimensional effective theory is precisely on-shell flat-space $N=1$ supergravity with a warped-volume induced Planck scale $\kappa_{\rm eff}$, validating the approach and providing a foundation for further inclusion of radion multiplets and brane/bulk matter. This work advances the understanding of how supersymmetry can be incorporated in warped compactifications and informs phenomenological explorations of brane-world scenarios.
Abstract
We present the supersymmetric version of the minimal Randall-Sundrum model with two opposite tension branes.
