Standard SANC Modules

A. Andonov, A. Arbuzov, D. Bardin, S. Bondarenko, P. Christova, L. Kalinovskaya, V. Kolesnikov, R. Sadykov

TL;DR

The paper surveys the status and capabilities of the Standard SANC Modules for electroweak and QCD NLO corrections in Drell–Yan–like processes, focusing on Neutral and Charged Current channels (v1.20). It describes two output paradigms—SSFM stand-alone modules at the parton level and FOAM-based MC event generators for hadronic level distributions—and the software ecosystem, including Vegas integrators, LoopTools, and SancLib, and the ability to output Les Houches events. A key result is the successful integration and cross-check of EW NLO corrections within the WINHAC generator, achieving agreement at the 0.025% level for O(α) corrections. The work demonstrates practical paths to high-precision phenomenology, including interfacing with PYTHIA/HERWIG and use in experimental contexts.

Abstract

In this note we summarize the status of the standard SANC modules (in the EW and QCD sectors of the Neutral Current branch - version 1.20 and the Charged Current branch - version 1.20). All versions of the codes are accessible from the SANC project servers at Dubna http://sanc.jinr.ru and CERN http://pcphsanc.cern.ch
