Abstract
We discuss bilinear estimates of tempered distributions in the Fourier
restriction spaces for the two-dimensional Sch\"odinger equation whose
principal part is the d'Alembertian. We prove that the bilinear estimates hold
if and only if the tempered distributions are functions.
